KIAWAH ISLAND

Kiawah Island, South Carolina is considered by many to have one of the finest collections of golf courses in the country for such a defined area. At Kiawah Island, golfers can sample the works of five master modern golf course designers without leaving the island. Kiawah Island has three courses ranked on Golf Digest's list of "America's Top 75 Resort Courses," and Conde Nast Traveler has listed the Resort among the top "75 Golf Resorts Worldwide." The five fabulous courses on the island were designed by Pete Dye, Tom Fazio, Clyde Johnston, Jack Nicklaus and Gary Player.

Host to the 1991 Ryder Cup Matches and the 1997 World Cup of Golf, the 7300 yard Ocean Course offers the most challenging golf along 2 1/2 miles of the Atlantic Ocean. Osprey Point offers water views from every hole and semi-private dining facilities. Oak Point is a challenging Scottish-American style course. Host to many tournaments including the 1990 PGA Cup Matches, Turtle Point features three spectacular oceanfront holes. Cougar Point is a new course, designed to championship standards that will challenge every player.

The island also boasts 10 miles of beaches, tennis, bike trails and peaceful serendity. Kiawah Island is located one-half hour south of historic Charleston which also has many fine courses.
